As an important part of the foreign strategy of globalization, Turkey has strengthened its economic and trade cooperation with Africa in recent years, especially with countries such as Senegal, Mali, Cameroon, Congo and Ghana.
Due to its advantageous geographical position and relatively stable political and social environment, Senegal has become a key investment country in Turkey. Turkey is aiming to make Senegal the outpost and core of its pioneering operations in Africa. At present, Turkey has cooperated closely with Senegal in the fields of infrastructure construction, aviation, commerce, finance and so on. The new Dakar Airport project, which was put into operation at the end of last year, is the concrete result of cooperation. The Senegalese government wants more Turkish investors to plug in, expand investment channels and create more jobs for the region.
